Sometimes people are just enough.  Whether they realize it or not, no fancy shoes, cars, lifestyle.  Just them, as they are, IS enough……  It’s amazing how much thinking a person can do inside of a motorcycle helmet…….

Departing from Indianapolis today was pleasant.  Enjoyed a nice conversation with a man about his days of traveling on two wheels.  I could see the look in his eye, half remembrance, half yearning to do it again.  Maybe by our conversation I inspired him to be young, live life, do what his heart desires of him…….

As for the actual ride, we hit a rainstorm (monsoon) that started in eastern Illinois and ended on the western edge of Iowa.  602 miles today, mostly in the rain.  We met some interesting people along the way, most people are just curious about our trip.  One guy actually recommended that we visit the Trucker Jamboree that is in Iowa every year.  Respectfully, we declined.

Once in Omaha, we found an awesome little bar called “Local”.  Amazing drinks and perfect food.  The waitress there rides bikes as well and made sure we left with some SWAG to continue our trip with.  Its funny how two wheels somehow brings people together on a personal level…

I’m enjoying my place in this eclectic social circle of motorcycle riders.  Even though I am far from my residence, I still feel at home.
